Physiotherapy Assessment
Starts with a conversation where we establish the main issue the client need help with. Proceeding with postural analysis, motion testing and joint alignment testing. When a diagnosis has been made we proceed to the treatment phase.
Verbal Assessment
In order to start, we will talk to you about what the main problem is for you right now.
We will talk about how long you had the symptoms and how did it happen, what tests where done to you and what kind of medication where prescribed. Specific questions about health problems: Arthritis, Diabetes, heart problems (Pacemaker)
Then comes the physical examinations, as long as no contraindications where found.
Physical Assessment
Following the verbal evaluation, we conduct a postural analysis, active motion testing and joint alignment testing. Nerve testing for sensory and motor (strength)Muscle testing for strength and test for strains or tears in muscle or tendonsLigament testing for sprains and torn ligamentsAlignment and stability testing of joints, ribs, vertebrae and pelvis.
If a hypothetical diagnosis has been made we proceed to the treatment phase.
